Kitui delegation

Last week, the Center for Mission sent a delegation to Kitui, Kenya that’ll last until July 12. They’ve setup a blog to share their experiences and pictures.

From their blog…

Welcome to the 2011 Kitui, Kenya Partnership blog.Β  Individual delegates will be posting their descriptions of activities and pictures during the trip, so you can get a sense of their experiences while they are there. The trip dates are June 28 -July 12. Please feel free to add comments or even submit questions for them and they will try to answer them as they are able.

Please keep them and their mission in your prayers.

Blessings from St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Hastings, Minnesota!! πŸ™‚

I am so happy to have recieved your blog and to be able to see, once again, our beautiful family from Kitui, Kenya together with our delegation. Because I have left a great portion of my heart within our brothers and sisters in Kitui, I have to say that as soon as I saw the picture of the draught in Nuu my heart began to ache for your need of water. Then, when I saw Bishop Piche ordaining our new Deacon and read the story, my heart was immediately filled with the greatest joy!

Please greet and smile at every person in Kitui for me and give them all my love. I remember I must have shared personal eye, heart, and smile contact with about a billion of our brothers and sisters, when we were blessed to be there to visit in October of 2005!
Leaving them was one of the most difficult crosses I have been given to bear, so God let me bring them home with me in my heart. It is so beautiful that when we are One in the Body of Christ we are never really separated. God is good, all the time! All the time, God is good!

Thank you so much for keeping us up-dated with your experiences in Kitui and in the Bush. At home, we are also living the love that you are sharing with our Kitui Family!

May Jesus and Mary continue to accompany you on your pilgrimage,
    + Janie Carlson, SFO
