My Catholic Spirit colleague Craig Berry forwarded a link to National Geographic’s “Best Space Pictures of 2010.” The collection features some incredible, jaw-dropping astronomy pictures. My favorite is a shimmering green aurora seen from the International Space Station.

For me, photos like these bring to mind a passage from the Book of Sirach: “The beauty, the glory, of the heavens are the stars that adorn with their sparkling the heights of God” (43:9).

You can view the slide show of space photos online. And if you’re interested in gears and gadgets from a Catholic perspective, check out Craig’s “Tech Bites” blog.
